Sikinos: Tribute to the small Aegean island with its pristine beaches

Sikinos is a small Cycladic island famous for its idyllic landscapes, golden beaches, crystal clear waters and picturesque small bays. When in Sikinos you must visit the Ancient Site of Episkopi, a Roman mausoleum that turned into a Byzantine monastery, and the Folklore Museum, housed in an old olive press.

There is also a
traditional winery where tours are organized for visitors to explore the winery's cellar with a photographic presentation of the production process. In the evenings visitors head to Chora, a picturesque village with Cycladic style and nice taverns.

Sikinos is connected to
Athens with regular ferry routes that depart daily from the ports o f Piraeus and Lavrio (5:40- 11:30 hours). It is an ideal destination for island hopping in the Aegean as it is connected by ferry to many islands of the Cyclades, the closest being Ios and Folegandros. The island also has direct ferry connections to Naxos, Milos, Santorini, Paros, Syros, Serifos and Sifnos.
